Inviting you to take a load off is the living room that features a wall of windows framing the stunning Smoky Mountain views. There’s a stone (gas) fireplace that reaches the ceiling and a plush sectional to spread out and hang.

For entertainment, switch on the big screen TV for a spell or simply chat with friends while sipping a round of Ole Smoky Moonshine. Keep snacks on the coffee table or use the space to play a game of cards.  On chilly evenings, opening a good book by a crackling fire and getting cozy with your favorite travel blanket is a must! The living room is also a great communal place to gather in the mornings to plan your fun day in Gatlinburg.

I don’t often leave reviews, but when I do, I try to give an honest and balanced take—including both the pros and cons. Many of the issues we experienced at this cabin are small and may already be fixed by the time you visit, so don’t let them stop you from booking. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return. The cabin was mostly very clean, with just a couple of exceptions. Some of the downsides are fixable, while others are simply part of the cabin’s structure. Pros: The view: Absolutely stunning—easily one of the best in the area. Patio: Super cozy, especially with the rugs. My kids and mom loved spending time out there. Cleanliness & Supplies: The cabin was clean and well-stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, and even a few thoughtful freebies that made us feel welcome. Kitchen: Well-equipped. Some of the baking pans could use replacing, but a bit of foil did the trick. Furniture: Comfortable, with a relaxing layout. Hot tub: Once we fixed a small issue, it was great. Entertainment: The kids had a blast with the pool table. Overall vibe: Fun, cozy, and memorable—definitely on my list to return to. Cons (Structural/Inherent): Noise: The floors are quite squeaky and not well insulated. You can hear every step from upstairs when you're in the downstairs bedrooms. My youngest had trouble sleeping in the bunk room due to the noise. Stairs: You’ll need to climb stairs to reach the main living area and then go downstairs again to reach some of the bedrooms. If you're traveling with elderly guests or people with mobility issues, this could be a challenge. Temperature: The downstairs bathroom gets very cold—propping the door open helps. Cons (Fixable): Doors: Many of them (bathroom, washer/dryer closet, dryer door) swing shut on their own, which gets annoying. Dryer: The moisture sensor isn’t working well. You’ll need to run it on timed dry—usually twice. Hot tub area: There’s trash between the tub and the wall that’s hard to notice, but once you do, you can’t unsee it. There’s also no lighting in the hot tub room or inside the hot tub itself. The hot tub was stuck at 95°F until we flipped the breaker to reset it. Outdoor furniture: The picnic table felt like an afterthought, shoved to the side, and the trash can for grill ashes is rusted. Grill area: The swing was crooked and had to be adjusted, and the patio temperature gauge doesn’t work. Kitchen appliances: The right stove burner doesn’t heat properly. Entertainment: There’s a stereo downstairs with a CD and tape player but no Bluetooth or aux input. An adapter or updated stereo would be a nice touch. Bedroom: The queen bedroom could really use an end table. Thermostat: It’s a bit finicky—you really have to press the buttons hard to get it to respond or go below 70°F. Final Thoughts: The cabin could use a bit of TLC and more attention to maintenance and quality checks. That said, it has a lot of charm and some truly standout features. Highly recommended—and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Mountain stay

The name is appropriate. The view was beyond amazing, the home was comfortable and as expected. There wasn't enough seating for a family of 9 and the dish washer kept randomly starting on it's own.

The cabin view was beautiful!! We toured around many areas on our stay and our cabin was still the best view yet. It was private and peaceful. We played pool, air hockey, and enjoyed the hot tub too. We only ate out twice because we wanted to enjoy every bit of our cabin. The only item that would have been perfect to have is a grill on the patio if it would be allowable. But even so, we had all we needed to create our meals. We definitely would love to enjoy this cabin again.

Such a beautiful spot to watch Gods creation. Different view everyday. The baby bear was beautiful too. We will be going back. And anyone who goes please write in the guest book, the stories of each family that’s been there was amazing. My whole family wants to go back and we cried when we had to leave. The name fits the view.

Edric

The views were wonderful and the cabin was clean and spacious. Check in was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.
