Perched atop a ridge, this Gatlinburg cabin rental offers spectacular privacy. In fact, it’s easy to forget this vacation home is just minutes from Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area as well as downtown Gatlinburg attractions, shops, and eateries. With its lustrous wood floors, ceilings, and millwork plus its delightful rustic details, A-Frame of Mind is Smoky Mountain style at its finest.
Outside, there’s no better place to soak up the mountain view and the rustle of the breeze through the sun-dappled trees than in the gazebo’s hot tub. A-Frame of Mind’s multiple outdoor spaces let you revel in the beauty of nature. Savor dinner on the deck and kick back on the patio swing while listening to the whip-poor-wills sing a lullaby. The stunning mountain views from the deck and inside the cabin are reason enough to stay — but A-Frame of Mind has plenty more to offer YOUR family vacation or getaway with friends.
With a stone (gas) fireplace, a 52-inch big screen TV with cable and a DVD player, and a windowed wall looking out toward the mountains, the living area is a haven in and of itself. One of the living room’s plush leather sofas opens into a queen-size bed, and the bedrooms add a king-size bed and a full-size bed, accommodating up to 6 guests total. When it’s chillier outside, turn up the gas fireplace surrounded by stones to set the mountain mood for reading, wine sips, or chats with friends on the sofas. There’s also a big screen TV and a DVD play for fun movie nights together!
Kitchen

At mealtimes, set the log dining table that can seat 4 with ease. Between the wood-planked walls and ceiling and the view of woodlands through the windows, you’ll almost feel as if you’re eating alfresco! This space is also useful for homeschool sessions, writing the next chapter of your book, planning your day at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, or arts and crafts with the kids.
Rec Loft
You’ll never be bored at A-Frame of Mind! The loft-level game room has a pool table, foosball table, and a tabletop arcade unit loaded with 60 classic games. Stools around the room plus a pub table make this the perfect place to knock back a couple of cold brews or cocktails from the kitchen. There’s even a small balcony where you can take in the lovely views and fresh mountain air.
Bedrooms
Making up much of the lower level is the en-suite master bedroom. A king-size bed, a private bathroom with a jetted tub, direct access to a covered outdoor area with a porch swing — what more do you need? After a soak in one of the 2 indoor jetted tubs — the treat your muscles deserve after a day of hiking, skiing, or biking — or a romantic drink on the private patio, nestle under the covers and watch some TV before drifting off to sleep.
Tucked beneath the eaves and beamed ceiling on the main floor, the 2nd bedroom is a cozy nest with a full-size bed and a door opening directly onto a private porch with rocking chairs, the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a late-night glass of wine. The ceiling fan will provide a breeze on even the hottest summer day. Spacious and bright, the downstairs master bathroom makes primping a pleasure.
Because A-Frame of Mind has a full bathroom on each floor — one for each bedroom — getting ready in the mornings and evenings will be much less hectic. And don’t forget the living room’s queen-size sleeper sofa for other guests.
Outdoor Spaces
Admire the sunrise over the mountain peaks from the hot tub under the gazebo. Sway with a good book on the patio swing and enjoy meals at the outdoor table. On the main deck, sip coffee or cocktails at the bar area and toss burgers, veggies, or steaks onto the gas grill for an entertaining mountain cookout at your Gatlinburg cabin. With 2 additional balconies plus rocking chairs, the crisp mountain breezes and sights of eagles swooping over the mountains can turn even pizza and beer into a celebration!
