We arrived Christmas Eve and to our surprise the location was very intimidating and scary to drive. This is not our first stay with cabins for you and we were not impressed. They cabin was not Clean. There was hair all over the bathroom. The towels weren’t clean. The kitchen was dirty and everything was run down. We would not recommend this cabin to anyone.

Sadly, the worst vacation rental we've ever had

View from balcony. Large house. This was sadly the worst experience we've had with a vacation rental. And we travel often. House was not well kept. The issue is not that it was old, but that it was not well maintained and quite dirty, including spider webs on curtains, mold in bathtubs, hairballs on bathroom floor, spiders and wasps inside the house, and rodents clearly within the walls. My daughter called me at 3am on the first night from the downstairs bedroom, freaked out about screeching noises, and when my husband and I went to check it out, it was clear there were rats within the walls or trapped in the locked maintenance closet next door. All that Cabins For You did was send a pest control guy in the morning, who spent literally only 5 minutes on the property, and kept reiterating the rats were not in the house, that they were in the crawling space under the house, and this was common on the mountains. Cabins for You kept telling us they did everything they could and they could not place us in a different cabin or give us a refund for the remaining days. At the end, the kids refused the stay in the cabin, and we just did not feel comfortable forcing them to stay, as we were also disgusted. We left and spent the rest of our vacation in a much smaller, but much cleaner hotel room and were able to actually enjoy our time in Gatlinburg. Right now, our credit card is in the middle of a dispute with Cabins For You to get our money back for the remaining nights we did not spend in the cabin.

I have stayed with Cabins For You in the past and after this holiday weekend will not be renting with them again. I had booked the “Heavenly View” cabin for 9 of my friends to stay with the impression that everyone would be able to sleep comfortably. After being told on the cabin site that it have 3 queens beds, 1 king, and a bunk bed we arrived to no bunk bed. Instead, we were given a very uncomfortable futon leaving 1 person to sleep on the couch for the entire week. We also arrived to all the beds completely uncleaned and unmade from the previous renters. Along with that, all the lightbulbs in the bathroom were completely burned out. Because of this we had to bring one of the bedroom lamps into the bathroom to used for some kind of lighting. The floors were also unswept with crumbs and dirt, and the microwave completely broken. I immediately called management about all these issues to which they replied that they would have someone come out the next day to fix the issues... that first night we had to sleep on dirty used sheets, use a dimly lit bathroom, and walk on dirty floors. Very much later the next day after calling again, someone that admitted she normally does not do the cleaning for the company had come out to replace the sheets but that was the only issue that was resolved. I called again to speak to a Nicole that was apart of Cabins For You and was very rudely treated. She claimed to be too sick to talk on the phone but would not give me a number of someone who I could talk directly about all the unresolved issues so my entire second day was spent going back and forth through email wasting my vacation time playing email tag. We asked for some kind of refund for the amount of issues that went unresolved and false advertising on amount of beds but she refused. I also asked for more necessities that were provided with the cabin such as paper towels, toilet paper, and dish washer liquid since we were a big group that was staying in a cabin that meant to sleep a large group, but was also denied those small but necessary supplies as well... I usually do not bother to write a review on places that have small issues but unfortunately this trip was a disappointment and disaster all because of the lack of care this rental company has for loyal customers. This was our first group trip since the pandemic and was extremely irritated by the rudeness that I was shown and the time that was wasted trying to salvage what was left of our trip. I STRONGLY do not recommend staying with this company and strongly would recommend talking to someone within the company about any cabin issues that is not Nicole!!!
