1. Gatlinburg Farmers Market

From May to October, you’ll find the Gatlinburg Farmers Market at the Covered Bridge in the Glades. You will find fresh, locally grown produce like tomatoes and honey. There’s also plants, beauty products, and baked goods. There are Kids Days during the summer with special activities, and concerts and special events from the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community. The Gatlinburg Farmers Market takes place every Saturday. You’ll definitely want to check this Gatlinburg event out while you’re in town!

2. Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales

In downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll find the folks who put on Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales throughout the summer. This Gatlinburg event is a summer-long street festival where you’ll see singers, bands, cloggers, and storytellers. Your whole family will enjoy getting to interact with people as they portray all kinds of characters and as they perform. Performances will take place every day from 6 pm to 11 pm. The Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales is definitely an event you don’t want to miss!

3. Gatlinburg’s 4th of July Midnight Parade

What better way is there to celebrate the United States Independence Day than at Gatlinburg’s 4th of July Midnight Parade? People line the streets of downtown Gatlinburg July 3 to watch the country’s first parade of the day at 12:01 am on the 4th of July. The path of the parade runs about 1 mile, starting at the Baskins Creek Bypass on East Parkway and goes until traffic light #10 at Ski Mountain Road. This is one Gatlinburg event you should be at!

4. Gatlinburg’s Fireworks Finale

While you’re here for the 4th of July Parade, you should come back for Gatlinburg’s Fireworks Finale at the end of the day! At 10 pm, you’ll get to watch a spectacular 20-minute firework show. The shapes and colors of the fireworks will impress you. If you want one of the best seats, you should sit somewhere between redlight #3 and redlight #5. Everyone who goes to the firework show will tell you it’s worth it.

5. Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair

One of the most popular Gatlinburg events is the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair. Over 180 craftsmen from all over the country come and show what they have created. You have the opportunity to see incredible works of art and crafts, as well as purchase these items. You’ll be amazed by all the talent you will find at the Craftmen’s Fair. Some of the artists will even be working during the fair, so you get to see their process in action. Some of the items you might see are homemade jams and jellies, jewelry, pottery, woodcarvers, and more. Every day, there are music shows from bluegrass and country artists. Even your kids can get involved at Kids Corner where they can make crafts to take home. This is an event you should definitely go to!
